We at OHIO ARROW OUTFITTERS take our deer hunting very seriously. We as stated are running a smaller operation and are very much hands on with everything we do. Most all stands and food plots are put in by myself the owner RICK DAVIS. My goal is to offer some of the best big buck hunting in the state of OHIO. The genetics are already in place and with the guidance and hard work that I am putting into my property's the deer hunting  is fast becoming second to none. I am a firm believer in taking care of my deer herd with food plots and supplemental feed which does several things.  First, it provides year around nutrition for bucks and does. Second, it boosts antler growth and body weight in our animals which translates into healthier animals and larger racks. Lastly, We draw in big bucks from other property's that would normally not be there. Which in turn gives more shot opportunities at P&Y class animals. Most outfits of our size do not bother with the food plots and supplemental feed due to the amount of money and labor involved. We go the extra mile to ensure that our clients have the best hunt possible.
We plant a variety of different foods for the deer. Including some whitetail institute  products along with the Biologic premium perennial mix and new Biomaxx.  We also plant some corn, beans in spring/summer and Buck Forage Oats in the fall.
We have started our deer on Record Rack professional supplemental feed. This is a 20% protein feed that they have really taken to. They flock into our feed stations at all times of the day. We run these feeders during the winter months only.
We also plant the BUCK FORAGE OATS in late summer as hunting plots for our clients. This is a very easy to plant fast growing fall plot that draws deer in from everywhere. We have documented deer actually bedding in it while feeding. They absolutely love it!
We are planting the new chicory plus this year with up to 40% protein . It will be a good all season high protein food source and hunting plot.
.We have imperial clover plots in several areas that are used by our deer all year long.
Winter greens is a new product that we are trying in 07. Other brassicas we have planted get grazed very heavy. These will keep growing into late winter. Even through frost.
We use Lucky buck mineral all twelve months of the year. We have tested it against many other minerals and non have the deer drawing power of lucky buck.  We even use it as an attractant for our hunters in the fall.
